Customer: Leading Scandinavian hotel chain, Nordic Choice Hotels, is parent company to some of the area’s most well known brands – Comfort Hotel, Quality Hotel and Clarion Hotel brands, as well as several independent properties. As one of the largest hotel groups in the Nordics, Nordic Choice Hotels operates 190 properties. Challenge: ASSA ABLOY Hospitality currently provides innovative security solutions to a majority of the hotel group’s 190 properties, including electronic locks. With today’s tech-savvy climate in the hospitality industry, Nordic Choice Hotels decided to implement a mobile key solution that required minimal upgrades to the RFID-enabled locks and that would easily integrate with Nordic Choice Hotels’ mobile application. Solution: Looking to implement a digital key solution that was as convenient as it was secure, Nordic Choice Hotels opted for ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access due to the global leader in hotel security technology’s ability to supply a solution that met the needs of guests and staff. With ASSA ABLOY Hospitality being a preferred and long-term partner of Nordic Choice Hotels, the hotel group turned to the leader in hotel security technology to upgrade more than 3,000 electronic locks to allow for mobile key. All Stockholm-based properties, the upgrades took place at Clarion Hotel Stockholm, Quality Hotel Globe, Clarion Hotel Amaranten, Hobo, Clarion Sign and Quality Hotel Friends. With ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access, front desk queue lines are now reduced due to guests being able to check in and enter their guestroom immediately upon arrival with a quick swipe of their mobile device, a key benefit for guests. This has also led hotel staff to be increasingly available now that guests no longer need to wait at the front desk for a keycard to enter their guestroom, giving guests who have more urgent requests the front desk assistance they need when they need it most.
