Waterfront Congress Centre chooses security solutions by ASSA ABLOY /global/scaled/3594x1563x128x354x1000x435/Global-References-Hotel-waterfront_104387.jpg The Waterfront Congress Centre is Sweden’s newest and most versatile venue for large scale meetings and events – and when choosing locks and security solutions, flexibility and convenience were top priority. Customer Across the water from Stockholm’s historic city hall, the Waterfront Congress Centre stands out with its modern architecture, combining office, congress and hotel facilities in one location. Directly connected to the congress center is the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel, a 414-room first-class hotel, where every room door features a VingCard’s RFID Classic lock, as well as Elsafe in-room safes. In addition, the offices at the Waterfront have an ASSA mechanical lock system installed in the public areas. Challenge The Waterfront Congress Centre desired a system that worked throughout both the Waterfront Congress Centre and the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel for convenience and accessibility. It was also important for the Waterfront Congress Centre to have a system that could easily be integrated and upgraded in the future. Solution Work on the center has been ongoing for years, and ASSA ABLOY has been there most of the way. That presence is obvious today, as ASSA and VingCard lock and security products have been installed across the centre’s spanning facilities. ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions provided the Waterfront Congress Centre with an ASSA master key system, as well as an ASSA ARX access control system for perimeter protection. “The solutions provided by ASSA and VingCard offer our facilities the flexibility and convenience we need to provide the best access for our guests,” says Anders Edblad, Chief Engineer for the Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre and Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel. Having everything on the same system also makes it easier for hotel guests and staff alike to use the congress facilities, as access can be programmed on the same card.
