Customer: Hotel VIA, San Francisco’s first newly-constructed hotel since 2008, channels San Francisco’s history and technological advancements by bringing the latest technologies together to create a unique hotel that gives guests a one-of-a-kind experience. Located in San Francisco’s South Beach neighborhood across from AT&T Park, Hotel VIA features 159 rooms with custom-designed and custom-made interiors, and offers the only rooftop lounge in San Francisco. Challenge: The new hotel aimed to create a personalized experience for each and every one of its guests by installing technologies that would easily connect them. In order to bring the hotel’s technological vision to life, hotel staff seeked out the latest innovative technologies that would create an entirely new guest experience. In order to bring the hotel into the modern hospitality era, Hotel VIA turned to ASSA ABLOY Hospitality to install the New VingCard Essence and ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access. Solution: Through ASSA ABLOY Hospitality’s Certified Partner KEYPR’s customized mobile concierge app, Hotel VIA guests can utilize ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access as a secure and digitally encrypted key to open the New VingCard Essence with a quick swipe of their smartphone. This allows guests to skip the front desk check-in process and head straight to their room immediately upon arrival. In tandem with Mobile Access and the New VingCard Essence, the Visionline wireless locking solution gives hotel staff total control over who enters certain areas of the hotel and when from one central location. If there is ever any suspicion of unauthorized entry in restricted areas of the property, hotel staff can quickly deactivate those locks, increasing overall property security. By working with an ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Certified Partner’s mobile application, Hotel VIA is additionally able to offer a fully customizable app to its guests that allows them to utilize multiple onsite amenities or offers directly from their smartphone.
